The Maronite Youth Organisation (MYO) is the official youth ministry of Our Lady of Lebanon Co-Cathedral parish.

The MYO regularly hosts youth gatherings that provide a balance of spiritual, social, and catechetical needs. Our events bring together young adults from across the community, offering opportunities for meeting new people, forming connections and sharing faith experiences. MAny works of the MYO aim at encouraging young adults to strengthen their understanding of the Catholic faith and apply its teachings in their daily lives.

We celebrate two youth Masses each week, on Wednesdays at 7pm and Sundays at 7pm. On Sundays, Mass is often followed by a feed. Mass on Wednesdays is followed by a rotation of social, spiritual and catechetical gatherings.

Some of the initiatives run by the MYO include:

  • yearly retreats;
  • prayer gatherings (e.g. rosary, Divine Office);
  • Eucharistic Adoration;
  • faith formation talks and discussion groups (e.g. theology under the stars);
  • food vans;
  • dinner dances;
  • the annual youth fundraiser; and
  • charitable works including the World's Greatest Shave and aged care visits.

The MYO welcomes all young adults aged 18 to 30 who are seeking to grow in their faith, build lasting friendships, and become more involved in parish life. Whether you are exploring your faith, looking for a supportive community, or hoping to contribute your gifts and talents in service to others, you are warmly invited to join the MYO community.
