Fersen Al Adra

Fersen Al Adra is the youngest and entry branch of the Marian Family Sodality. It is dedicated to the spiritual formation of children. Our mission is to guide young children from Kindergarten to Year 6 in knowing, living, and loving their Maronite Catholic faith, inspired by the example of Mary, Mother of God. Our vision is to nurture a generation of children with a strong relationship with Christ, a love for the Church, and a lifelong commitment to living their faith.

Fersen Al Adra welcomes children from Kindergarten to Year 6 to join its weekly faith formation program. Sessions are held every Saturday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm during the school term, with a break during school holidays.

Over 200 children participate in the program each year, supported by more than 30 dedicated leaders, and the ministry is growing. The Fersen leadership team strives to continually strengthen its existing programs while introducing new initiatives to support the spiritual, social, and personal development of every child.

Throughout the year, Fersen Al Adra conducts weekly formation sessions and organises a wide range of activities, including Monthly Fersen Masses, Fersen Fun Day, Fersen Diocesan Day, Disco Party, May Rosary Visits, the Palm Sunday Procession, Mother's Day and Father's Day workshops, and St Barbara's Feast Day celebrations.

The ministry also extends beyond its weekly sessions through community outreach initiatives, including the Christmas Toy Donation to Westmead Children's Hospital, where children prepared handwritten cards and heartfelt messages to accompany the gifts. In 2025, a Sports Day was held at MCHF School Grounds with special guest Adam Doueihi from the Wests Tigers.

Fersen Al Adra also welcomes adults who are passionate about helping children grow in their faith to become leaders within the ministry. Leaders are provided with guidance and ongoing formation.
