The Altar Servers Committee coordinates the work of altar servers within the parish.

Altar servers assist priests in the celebration of the Mass. They carry the processional cross and candles, lead processions, carry the incense and thurible, assist readers, and are alert to the needs of the celebrant. They help lead the congregation in prayer by their example of reverent service

The Altar Servers Committee oversees all aspects of Mass preparation, ensuring that all servers are well prepared, understand their roles, and serve with the utmost reverence.

The Committee recruits altar servers, conducts training sessions, ensures gowns are ready for use, and organises timetables to ensure servers are present at all Masses.

The Committee encourages more people to serve in the parish and helps them feel comfortable doing so. It is committed to fostering a welcoming environment for new servers and to supporting both current and new servers in growing closer to Christ through their service at the altar.

If you are interested in altar serving, or for more information, send us a message at the email below, or have a chat with one of the servers after Mass.
