
STAGE 2 OF THE RELAXATION OF THE RESTRICTIONS FOR COVID-19
Dear Parishioners,
As you may have already heard, the New South Wales Government has further eased restrictions on places of worship effective 1 June 2020. We are now able to allow 50 worshipers to attend and participate in the celebration of the Divine Liturgy.
In response to these new regulations and in accordance with the directives of our Maronite Eparchy, we have adopted the following protocols to manage the number of people in attendance in our Cathedral:
Weekday Mass:
7 am, 9 am and 6 pm from Monday to Friday & 7:30 am Saturday
50 people in the church at a first come first serve basis. Parishioners will need to come earlier to register their names before the Mass begins at the doors.
9 am and 6 pm Mass will continue to be live-streamed
Sunday Masses:
8 am, 9.30 am, 11 am, 5 pm, 7 pm & Saturday 6 pm 50 people in the church allowed by booking via the parish office.
All Sunday celebrations will be live-streamed.
For 40-day, 1-year, and Genez Masses, the family will need to register the number of people attending with the parish office when booking the Mass. A limit may be applied to allow for other parishioners to attend Mass.
Adoration: 8 pm Thursday nights will continue by booking via the parish office.
Funerals: 50 mourners allowed in the church; the names of the attendees will need to be given to the parish office when preparing for the funeral.
Weddings and baptisms: 20 attendees allowed in the Church, The names of the attendees need to be given to the parish office when preparing for the wedding or baptism.
