Novena to Our Lady of Lebanon - Pandemic
In times of difficulty and challenge, the most important act that we can undertake is the act of prayer. Our Lady of Lebanon Co-Cathedral Parish has now been affected in a direct way by the Coronavirus Pandemic. As such, let us all turn to our patron, Our Lady of Lebanon, to help us through this new challenge. As a parish family, we will be praying a Novena in honor of Our Lady of Lebanon for a daily intention. Let us all unite together to pray for the eradication of this pandemic and to pray for all those who have been affected in a direct or indirect way. Our Lady of Lebanon has stood high upon the steeple of our Cathedral and has been listening to our prayers for nearly half a century, protecting us under her motherly care. Today, we need her prayers more than never. Let us not stop seeking her intercession, because, through her, the Lord will grant us the desires of our hearts. Our Lady of Lebanon, pray for us and for the entire world! Amen.

إخوتي وأخواتي بالرّب يسوع،
إنّ أقلَّ وأجدى ما يُمكننا فعله في أوقات المِحَن والصّعوبات، هو الصّلاة. بعد أن تأثَّرَت رعيّتُنا، كاتدرائيّة سيّدة لبنان بشكل مباشر بتفشّي فيروس الكورونا الّذي أصاب بعض أبنائها، دعونا يا أحبّائي نلتفِت إلى شفيعة رعيّتنا، سيّدة لبنان، ونسألها أن تَنظُرَ إلينا وتطلب لنا العون من العلاء. معًا كعائلة واحدة، لنتشارك صلاة التساعيّة هذه لسيّدتنا وحاميتنا، نُضَمِّنها نيّة يوميّة تطال كلّ الّذين تأثَّروا بهذا المرض بشكل مباشر أو غير مباشر. فلنتعاضد ولنتكاتف في الصّلاة لأمّنا مريم الّتي لطالما سمعَت صلواتنا من برجها القائم على رأس كنيستنا لحوالي ما يقارب النّصف قرن. وكم بالحريّ اليوم، نحن بأمسّ الحاجة إلى معونتها وشفاعتها، وكلّنا ثقة أنّ ابنها لن يرفض لها طلبًا. فيا مريم، سيّدة لبنان، صلّي لأجلنا ولأجل العالم أجمع. آمين.
